Reblogged from Sherry Isaac, Psychological Sizzle:
Self-preservation demands we insulate against mistakes. With failure comes hot cheeks, red ears and shameful tears. Mistakes made in school result in unwanted attention by way of laughter, jeers and finger-pointing. Who hasn't been stymied by the need of the entire third grade class to inform you, one-by-one, that your socks don't match, you posted the wrong assignment on the class board, you aren't wearing your gym gear?
It's the week to Make Mistakes! Wasn't that a Magic Schoolbus thing...?
Today Sherry Isaac urges us to find the genius in going forth and not fearing mistakes or looking foolish.
Yesterday Christina Katz's message was to let go of perfectionism and simply Produce. The. Work.
Yes, the Universe is speaking. It is telling me (and you) to not fear the work, but to free your mind and creativity to produce a gem out of the debris.
